Membership Process
The membership process provides a structured opportunity for prospective candidates to gain a comprehensive understanding of our sisterhood, its values, and its expectations. It also enables the chapter to assess each applicant’s commitment, leadership potential, and alignment with the standards of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

T.O.R.C.H.
Process
Selected candidates undergo the T.O.R.C.H. (Teaching Obligations, Rights, Characteristics, and History) process, the official Sigma Gamma Rho membership education and intake program.

Application & Review
Submit all required documents including: application form, letters of recommendation, headshot, and personal statement.

Induction of New Members
Welcome new members to sisterhood! New members are formally inducted into Sisterhood via the Nu Lambda Sigma Chapter.

Panel Interview
Qualified applicants will be invited to a panel interview to assess readiness and alignment.

Post Torch Integration
New members are mentored and integrated into the chapter operations with a focus on a smooth transition into active chapter participation and service.
